The Tru-Flo fishtanks are used extensively in the underground coal industry as part of the de-watering system. Typically, they are installed in the main gate or the tailgate headings within a cut-through. Mine water from sumps and the development area is pumped into the fishtank via air pumps or submersible pumps. The fishtank then transfers the water out-bye to another fishtank or seam to surface pumpstation.
